LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The future of the Humana Tower is uncertain as the company prepares to leave its downtown headquarters.

Several developers have explored redevelopment plans, but nothing is finalized. City officials are working with Humana and a potential developer, though discussions are still early.

"I am hopeful that there is good news that we can all announce together early in 2026," Mayor Craig Greenberg said.

Louisville-based Poe Companies is reportedly planning to turn the 27-story tower into a roughly 1,000-room hotel, according to our partners at Louisville Business First. City officials have not confirmed the project.

Officials say the goal is to ensure the building’s next chapter brings a major investment to downtown Louisville and benefits the region.
