LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The concert lineup was unveiled Tuesday morning for this year's Kentucky State Fair.

The Kentucky State Fair returns Aug. 20-30 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, featuring live entertainment, food, livestock shows, exhibits and family attractions. Tickets are already on sale. 

One of the fair's staples is the Texas Roadhouse Concert Series, with performances from artists across all genres and generations.

"Whether you wear boots for your nine to five, or are a Myspace-era millennial, there's something here for everyone," organizers said in a news release.

Concerts are held in Lot L at the Expo Center. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and performances begin at 8 p.m. nightly.

  • Thursday, Aug. 20: Cooper Alan with special guest JD Shelburne
  • Friday, Aug. 21: Midnight Star with special guest Digital Underground
  • Saturday, Aug. 22: Black Stone Cherry with special guest the Goldy lockS Band
  • Sunday, Aug. 23: Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder with special guests T.G. Sheppard and Wade Hayes
  • Monday, Aug. 24: Cain with special guest Ben Fuller
  • Tuesday, Aug. 25: Happy Together Tour featuring The Association, The Troggs, Chicago lead singer (from 1985-2016) Jason Scheff, Gary Puckett, The Fortunes, Ron Dante of The Archies and The Turtles, and The Vogues
  • Wednesday, Aug. 26: Ernest with special guest Alex Miller
  • Thursday, Aug. 27: Boys Like Girls with special guest TBD
  • Friday, Aug. 28: Hairball
  • Saturday, Aug. 29: Foghat and Kentucky Headhunters

In addition to the Texas Roadhouse Concert Series, more than 40 bands will perform across three music tents throughout the fair.

Organizers said the lineup for the Hitching Post tent will be revealed at a later date.

All entertainment, excluding BEERFEST and select performances at the World's Championship Horse Show, is included with fair admission. 

Tickets are available online, at participating Kroger locations and at the Kentucky Exposition Center box office.
