PROSPECT, Ky. (WDRB) -- The investigation into a fire that destroyed a multimillion-dollar home in Oldham County continues.

The 16,000 square foot mansion went up in flames Monday, as firefighters from five departments worked three hours to save the home. Questions remain about whether lightning from storms in the area could have started the fire.

The home on Reserve Cove was actually for sale with an asking price of $3.5 million. And we're getting a look inside the home before the fire.

Pictures from the real estate listing are for a six bedroom home with ten bathrooms. The gourmet kitchen included two islands and custom cabinetry. The home also featured an infinity pool, full outdoor kitchen, media room, exercise room, indoor basketball court and batting cage. It also featured a four-car garage.

The Reserve Cove home built in 2008 sat on a more than acre and a half lot.

The WDRB Skycam was able to assist firefighters on the ground with seeing where to target their effort. The images from our drone show just how intense the fire was at times. The owner, John Boc, who stood on the street and watched the home burn, said he received a phone alert while he was at a grocery store.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire.
