LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The fight over an adult business in Clarksville reached the Indiana Supreme Court on Thursday.

Attorneys for the Town of Clarksville and those representing Theatair X, which is on U.S. 31, argued in front of the state's high court over fines accessed against the business.

The business has been closed and the building cleaned out for more than a year, Ken Conklin, Town of Clarksville Communications director said.

In 2021, the town officials pulled the adult business' operating license, sparking a lengthy legal battle that has played out over the past several years.

Thursday's hearing in Indianapolis focused on a procedural issue regarding evidence in the case. The justices said they would discuss and make a ruling at a later time.
