LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The city of Indianapolis will be in the national spotlight over the weekend as Alabama and Georgia prepare to battle for the College Football Playoff National Championship.
The big game is set for Monday at Lucas Oil Stadium. About 100,000 people are expected to be in the city for events throughout the weekend, according to a report by FOX59.
Despite a rise in COVID-19 cases, there are no restrictions. Indianapolis officials urge fans to wear masks indoors and get tested before attending events.
"We are asking that attendees follow instructions of law enforcement and from public health experts and public health officials and continue to reduce the risk of any spread of COVID-19," Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said.
The 2022 Indianapolis Host Committee said masks aren't required for any indoor events.
