LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials are still working to determine the environmental impact of a chemical fire in a southern Indiana community.
The fire happened Saturday, Sept. 6, outside a manufacturing facility in Warrick County—which is just east of Evansville along the Ohio River.
Officials said hazardous materials were stored on-site, but the building itself did not catch fire.
The blaze prompted a shelter-in-place advisory as massive clouds of smoke billowed outside. It took fire crews a full day to put out the flames.
