LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 26-year-old man from Jeffersonville, Indiana died in a crash on Interstate 65 on Sunday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP said troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-65 northbound around 25-mile marker in Warren County around 1:57 a.m.
Police said Alex Bailey was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when a deer went onto the road, which caused him to hit his brakes. Bailey's vehicle was rear-ended by a 1999 Ford motorhome.
The Equinox went off the roadway and came to a stop on an earth embankment. The motorhome stopped inside the barrier wall in the left emergency lane.
Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene by Warren County Coroner's Office. The driver of the motorhome was taken to the Medical Center of Bowling Green with unknown injuries, according to police.
The crash is being investigated by Kentucky State Police.
