LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ashley Judd bought a home in Kentucky while considering whether to run for US Senate against Mitch McConnell.
Hollywood stars sometimes spend millions on a home, but Judd reportedly paid $120,000 for the house in Ashland.
The deal was finalized about a week before Judd announced she would not run against Senator Mitch McConnell.
Judd is a resident of Tennessee, so in order to run for Senate, she would have had to establish a residence in Kentucky.
The actress lived in Ashland as a teen, and her grandmother still lives there.
A county official says Judd likely purchased the home for sentimental reasons.
