LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Louisville judge was found guilty in court on Monday, but he won't be spending any time in jail.
The state's Judicial Conduct Commission ruled former jurist Martin McDonald guilty of Misconduct. The judge is being publicly reprimanded for threatening to strangle a lawyer and refusing to allow a plaintiff to argue his civil case.
These were two separate incidents in 2012 and earlier this year.
McDonald was a senior judge in the state up until this past June.
The Commission says a stroke affected his ability to filter his words.
McDonald has since retired since the controversy.
