LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A federal judge says a lawsuit challenging part of the Ohio River Bridges Project can go forward -- but the project itself will not be delayed.

The environmental group River Fields and the National Trust for Historic Preservation sued in 2009.

They questioned whether federal regulations on the environment and historic preservation had been followed properly.

Kentucky transportation officials say they expect to award a construction contract for the downtown bridge on December 15th.

The other bridge is to be built between Prospect, Ky. and Utica, Ind.
