LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Derby Museum is celebrating a milestone year, marking the strongest financial performance in its 40-year history.
The museum brought in $12 million in revenue during fiscal year 2025, a significant jump from $9.25 million the year before, according to museum officials.
Attendance also surged. More than 255,000 people visited the museum this year, signaling a full rebound from pandemic-era losses and a return to pre-COVID levels.
Museum leaders credit renewed tourism, expanded programming and a growing interest in Derby history for the record-setting year.
Looking ahead, the Derby Museum plans to build on that momentum by expanding its marketing efforts beyond Kentucky.
