LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Golfers will be teeing off this week to raise money to support children in foster care.

A fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday at Topgolf in Louisville. It will support the organization Kentucky Kids Belong and its mission to improve the lives of children in foster care.

Currently there are around 600 children in foster care looking for adoption throughout Kentucky.

There's a new Foster Friendly app that pairs families with partnering businesses offering discounts on products.

"Taking a couple kids even if you have a couple already and it can kind of put a strain on the family so this is a way for businesses to give back to, and show support, so that foster families feel seen and heard so that they feel like they have more help," said Valerie Buccola with Kentucky Kids Belong.

The fundraiser Wednesday is sold out, but those wanting to donate to Kentucky Kids Belong can click here. Kentucky Kids Belong was founded in 2019.
