LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) --Â Kentucky is among six states receiving federal money to help repair roads and bridges after natural disasters.
The state is receiving $1.9 million of $11.5 million being distributed nationwide. The money going to Kentucky will help repair damage from flooding back in April of this year.Â
"Communities across the country are recovering from disasters that have damaged the roads they rely on to get around" said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood in a news release.  "We are doing everything we can to reimburse communities for the work they have done to restore highway operations and other transportation needs."  Â
