LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A deputy at LaRue County Sheriff's Office died while on duty.
LaRue County Sheriff's Office said deputy Nick Green suffered a fatal medical issue while on duty. The cause of death isn't known at this time.
Green was a seven-year law enforcement veteran and also a father.
"He was well liked by all that knew him," Sheriff Brian Smith said in a news release. "Deputy Green brought smiles to faces every time he worked and we will miss him very much. Please keep Nick's children, and family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this horrible tragedy."
Green became a deputy and was assigned to the night shift, according to a Facebook post by LaRue County Sheriff's Office in July.
