LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was found dead in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Wednesday evening.
LMPD responded a little after 8:30 p.m. on a welfare check for an individual in the 2100 block of West Madison Street near Dr. W J Hodge Street, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult man who had been shot. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene, Mitchell said.
The victim was identified Thursday as 58-year-old Rodney Bowman.
LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating, and currently have no suspects.Â
