According to an arrest citation, Hill was identified as a suspect in the murder after getting statements from witnesses. She was found nine hours after the shooting at a Circle K gas station on New Cut Road.
After being read her rights, police said Hill told a detective she was the only person with the victim at the time of the shooting and admitted to "manipulating the firearm at the time of the gun being discharged," causing the victim's death.Â
The arrest slip also states Hill admitted to fleeing the scene after the shooting and tossing the gun in an attempt to evade police.Â
When she was arrested, police said she had the victim's cellphone and admitted to officers that she left with the phone after the murder. Police said Hill also told them she had been sleeping in the woods near the scene to avoid being arrested and attempted to make phone calls to be picked up from the scene to leave the area, the arrest report says.
Police said Hill was found with suspected heroin when she was being taken into custody. She's being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and pleaded not guilty Tuesday morning.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the case.
