LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police has provided an update on an officer who was shot while on patrol in the city's Chickasaw neighborhood.
LMPD said Friday officer Brandon Haley is improving after being released from the hospital last month.
Haley was shot in the stomach while getting out of his cruiser in September. LMPD said officer Colin Billotto pulled Haley to safety.
Billotto is now on light duty.
Five people were arrested after the shooting. Investigators are still interviewing witnesses.
After their investigation, LMPD will send the case to the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
