NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Some local workers stepped up to help kids in need get a better night's sleep.
TFS is part of a network of more than 100 foundation repair companies named Supportworks. The company partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace as part of a nationwide initiative.
The employees spent their Friday away from the office, building about 20 beds for kids in Louisville's west end who don't have their own.
"Roughly, there's about 3% of children right now that are sleeping on the ground," TFS Production Manager Alec Breckenridge said. "Any time we can give back to our community is awesome. Our community has gave us a lot and this is our time to give back to them and this is one way we can do that."
Sleep in Heavenly Peace started in 2012 and has delivered more than 140,000 beds to kids in need.
