Exeter Avenue Fire in Louisville's Chickasaw neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No injuries were reported after fire ripped through a home in the Chickasaw neighborhood Monday evening. 

It happened just before 7:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Louisville Fire Department. Crews responded to reports of fire in a vacant home in the the 4000 Block of Exley Court, between Southwestern Parkway and South 43rd Street. 

Crews arrived on scene four minutes after the report was received to find a vacant 1.5-story home in flames, with fire showing on the first floor in the front of the home.

Firefighters entered the home and conducted a search, but no one was inside. It took 25 firefighters about 14 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The Louisville Fire Department's arson unit is working to determine the cause.
