LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Leaders celebrated the completion of a new affordable housing community in Louisville on Thursday.
The Eclipse in Russell is a $45 million community with 280 units, serving families who earn less than $80,000 a year.
The community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment units. It also has several amenities, including business and fitness centers and a playground.
"It's big, it's brand new, they really value the community. They stop when they see you. The staffer speaks, they have all different types of activities for all ages and all household types, so it's really fun," Mary Patterson, an Eclipse resident, said. "They try to include everybody."
The apartment complex is located on 29th Street.
