LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The red carpet was rolled out for dozens of Louisville fourth graders.

Students from Cochran and Atkinson Elementary Schools earned star treatment from the University of Louisville's Rauch Planetarium based on essays they had written.

The students shared their stories as part of an essay series called "This I Believe."

The series began in the 1950s as a radio program hosted by Edward R. Murrow. The essays are composed by people from all walks of life.

The schools collaborated with U of L's College of Education and Human Development on the project.
