LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Firefighters battled an early morning house fire Thursday in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood.

Crews were dispatched just after 4 a.m. to the area of 37th Street and West Broadway on reports of a house fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames coming from throughout the home and through the roof.

The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

According to the Louisville Fire Department, the house appears to have been vacant at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
