LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's fire prevention week and Louisville firefighters are reminding people about what they can do to avoid risky situations.
They served chili to dozens of people walking through downtown Louisville during lunchtime today.
Fire departments across the country focus on different safety topics each year.
This year it's preventing kitchen fires.
Officials say they also want people to know about the Great Louisville Fire Drill happening this Sunday.
A wreath was also placed on the fallen firefighters memorial as part of today's event.
