LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville organization is asking for donations to restock homeless care kit items before winter.
SOS, a nonprofit organization focused on health equity, provides hundreds of care kits for unhoused people every year. SOS is asking for public donations of essential first aid and personal care items like band aids and feminine hygiene products.
Donations can be dropped off at SOS headquarters at 1500 Arlington Ave. through Nov. 21. The donations are accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.Â
Items that can be donated include socks, gloves, disinfectant wipes, deodorant, brushes, combs, hand sanitizer, tooth brushes, tooth paste, bottled water and protein bars.
