LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you had a live Christmas tree this season, Louisville has several drop-off locations to give it new purpose.

All three locations below are open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays through Jan. 17. 

  • East District Recycling Center: 595 N. Hubbards Lane
  • Public Works Yard: 10500 Lower River Road (enter from Bethany Lane)
  • 535 Meriwether Ave.: across from Solid Waste Office

Trees should be empty with all lights, ornaments and decorations removed.

Residents with city yard waste service can place trees and greenery at the curb on the regular collection day.
