LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — More road closures are coming to Louisville, and they might impact traffic to and from UofL home football games.
A temporary closure will go into effect on Old Eastern Parkway as part of a $1.9 million maintenance project for the U.S. 60, Eastern Parkway, bridge over South Floyd Street in Louisville, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said Friday.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, Old Eastern Parkway between South Floyd and South Brook streets will be closed through Monday, Nov. 3.
Crews will be doing concrete work underneath the bridge over South Floyd and South Brook during the closure. KYTC said traffic impacts on the Eastern Parkway bridge are not expected during the closure.Â
Additionally, crews will be performing bridge work on the Interstate 264, Georgia Davis Powers Expressway, bridge over Garrs Lane.
Work is also scheduled for the KY 248, Briar Ridge Road, bridge over Little Beech Creek in Spencer County.Â
KYTC said the maintenance project is expected to be completed this winter.
