LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Several Louisville teens are taking the pledge to take their thumbs off their phones and keep their eyes on the road. It's part of Allstate's program to stop texting and driving called "X the Text."
More than 150,000 Americans have taken the pledge. Waggener High School students will join Friday night at their football game by adding their thumbprints to a banner.
A recent Allstate Foundation study found 49 percent of teens admit to being extremely distracted by texting while driving.
