LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It’s a new chapter for the Portland Library, which is reopening after a multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation.

The grand reopening will be held on Dec. 2, giving visitors a chance to see the fully renovated Carnegie building along with the 5,400-square-foot addition.

Then, on Dec. 6, the library is hosting a Family Fun Day with performers, storytime, and activities for the whole family.

The Portland Library branch opened in 1913, and this is the first time in more than 100 years that it has undergone such a major renovation.
