LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man walking on Interstate 65 Saturday night was hit by two cars and sustained critical injuries.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded on a report of a pedestrian in the roadway on I-65 south just after 9:30 p.m.
Police said a man was walking in the roadway for an unknown reason and was hit by a car that was heading southbound on I-65, which caused him to fall into another lane.
The initial vehicle stopped but a second car was also heading southbound on I-65 and tried avoiding him but also hit him.
That vehicle also stopped. Police said the victim was taken to UofL Hospital with life-threatening critical injuries. The drivers of both vehicles weren't injured.
No charges are expected and LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
