Louisville, KY (WDRB)-- The 812 area code is running out of numbers, and people will have a chance Monday to speak out about what should happen next.

Utility Regulatory Commission is having a hearing Monday at 6 p.m. at Jeffersonville High School.

It says rising population and more demands for cell phones, faxes, and computers are using up all the numbers.

By March 2015, there may not be any more new 812 phone numbers to give out.

The commission wants to hear from the public about proposed options to deal with the shortage.
