LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Monday horse lovers can take a closeup look at the winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby, "Mine That Bird."
The thoroughbred is going to be the Kentucky Derby Museum's resident Thoroughbred through the July fourth holiday. Mine That Bird's owners personally drove him 12000 miles from Roswell, New Mexico. People can see the horse during the museum's regular business hours -- there's no charge.
This is the first time the museum has had a Derby winner stabled on its grounds to greet Derby enthusiasts.
A movie is in the making called 50-to-1 about the horse's longshot odds of winning the Derby.
