Missing 9-year-old girl with autism last seen in Florence found dead, KSP says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky State Police canceled an IAN alert for a missing 9-year-old girl who has autism after she was found dead.

Kentucky State Police said 9-year-old Jenny Dim was last seen on MacIntosh Lane in Florence around 5 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026. Florence is in Boone County, about an hour northeast of Louisville.

In an update Saturday, KSP said she was found dead. No other information was made available at this time.

"Tragically, this is not the outcome we had hoped for," KSP said in a news release. "We thank all the first responders, the public, and the media for all their effort during this investigation."

IAN alerts are used when children 18 and younger with autism or mental illness go missing or may be in danger.
