LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man drowned Saturday at Taylorsville Lake, according to fire officials.
Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District responded to a report of an "overdue" kayaker who had gone out on the lake earlier in the day.
Fire crews used drone and watercrafts to search for the missing man.
Officials identified the victim Sunday as 55-year-old Russell O'Brien. Preliminary reports indicate that he drowned.
"Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers that are affected by this tragedy," Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District posted.
