LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Saint Louis is now the home of the country's first mobile gun storage unit.

The armored truck will be parked outside the Busch Stadium to allow fans to store their guns during games.

Justin Hulsey, the owner of the storage unit, says it's all about making people feel safe on the way to the stadium. And he says there's a plan in place for when customers come back after having too much to drink.

"When you sign that waiver that's going to be in there, we hold 100 percent accountability that if you show up and you're impaired and not responsible for them, you're not going to get it back, it's going to be held and your going to have to pick it up the next day," Hulsey said.

The storage unit is protected by officers licensed to carry firearms.

Police say the unit is a good option because many guns are stolen out of cars in parking lots.
