LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An intensive outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Louisville is expanding its services.
The Morton Center will now offer a new suite of adolescent-focused mental health support and an intensive outpatient program designed for youth and their families, according to a news release Monday. It was designed to address a growing need in the area, according to the nonprofit.
According to a news release, one in five adolescents experiences a mental health disorder, and nearly 40% of high school students have reported experimenting with substances such as alcohol or drugs. The Morton Center said early intervention and support can make a significant difference.Â
The expanded services will be available at the nonprofit's main location at 1028 Barret Ave. in the Germantown neighborhood.
