LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A motorcyclist died after a crash in Highview Saturday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD responded to a crash in the 6000 block of Applegate Lane, near Outer Loop, around 4 p.m. LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Applegate Lane near Joyce Drive when the person lost control.
Police said the motorcyclist crossed into westbound lanes and crashed into a tree.
The man was taken to the hospital, but later died from his injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
