LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Neighbors who witnessed the attempted murder of a Louisville Police officer relived the horrific details in court Friday.

One neighbor told jurors "shots were flying everywhere" when Metro Police Officer Andrea Rice was shot.  It happened in April of 2009 at a home in Okolona.

Joseph Starcher is on trial for nine charges, including attempted murder.  Officer Rice responded to a domestic disturbance call when witnesses say Starcher attacked Rice, took her gun, and shot her.

Witnesses say Starcher was naked and had a "crazed" look on his face.  Starcher is also charged with shooting his girlfriend and a neighbor.  All three recovered from their injuries.
