LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New pickleball and tennis courts were completed at Fern Creek Park.
That's according to an announcement from city officials on May 7.
According to a news release, Mayor Craig Greenberg and Louisville Metro Council allocated $265,000 for the new courts.
"As we continue to invest in our parks, we are making them safer and more enjoyable for everyone," Greenberg said in a news release. "I’m particularly excited for these upgrades at Fern Creek Park, in one of the fastest growing parts of our city, which will be a nice complement to the new Fern Creek Library opening next year."
Fern Creek Park also received new investments in the last five years from a partnership with the Miracle League of Louisville. The organization helped fund the all-inclusive playground and baseball field in the park.
The park has a lighted walking path, an all-inclusive playground, grills, pavilions and a hiking trail.
