LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Derby Museum opened a new exhibit highlighting fashion through the years at Churchill Downs.
The display, called "See and Be Seen: 150 Years of Derby Fashion," features items from the 1860s to today.
Winners from the Derby 150 fashion contest will also be part of the exhibit.
"You get to walk through these outfits," Katrina Helmer, director of communications for the museum, said Wednesday on WDRB Mornings. "They're taking you from 150 years ago, getting an idea of what someone would wear if they came to the very first Derby in 1875. It's going to take you through flapper dresses and into the 60s and 70s when we're hitting fun infield vibes all the way up to today."
Guests can also take part in a "make your own hat" workshop. This is the fifth exhibit that's opened at the museum this year.
