Keeping children busy during spring break is a challenge. But The Home Depot guys have a fun family project--marshmallow guns. Scott Krueger and Joe Autry have made marshmallow guns during the holidays, but spring will allow the children to get outside, have fun and leave the cleanup to nature!
How to Make a Marshmallow Gun or Marshmallow Shooter :
This marshmallow gun (marshmallow shooter) has a pretty good accuracy, range, and ease of construction. Plus, it's tons of fun and a lot better than any store-bought toy because it encourages modifications.
Cut the PVC to length:
Cut 1 length of 7 inches and 5 lengths of 3 inches.
Assembly:
Layout your pieces and assemble them. Friction should hold them all together.
Test:
Put on your safety glasses.
Point the gun in a safe direction. Load a mini marshmallow into the mouth piece, seal your lips to the mouthpiece, and give the gun a quick burst of air.
Yes, the marshmallow does go around all those curves. Pretty cool, huh?!
Keep your ammunition sealed. Wet or moist marshmallows don't work very well.
Clean up your marshmallows when you're done. Especially, don't leave any around roads: they will attract animals to be hit by cars.
Area Home Depot stores are prepared for questions about marshmallow guns, and they can help cut the right lengths of PVC pipe.
