LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person has been indicted for alleged threats made to University of Louisville head football coach Jeff Brohm.
According to a statement from Rocco Gasparro, director of Media Relations for UofL Athletics, the individual also directed threats at Brohm's family, members of his coaching staff and student athletes.
"We commend law enforcement for their swift and decisive action in addressing this matter," Gasparro's statement read. "Threats of violence have no place in our community or in sports, and we will continue to work closely with authorities to ensure a safe environment for all."
The nature of the threats, when they were sent and how are unknown at this time. WDRB is working to obtain a copy of the indictment.
"The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community remain our highest priority," Gasparro said. "Our student athletes and coaches deserve to compete, learn, and grow without fear. We are committed to supporting them and reinforcing the values of respect, integrity, and accountability that define our program."
