LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police are investigating the shooting death of an 8-year-old on Saturday evening.
Matthew Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a reported shooting just after 10:30 p.m. in the 6900 block of Bardstown Road.
According to police, an 8-year-old child died from what investigators believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said it’s unknown at this time if the shooting was accidental, intentional or if charges will be filed.
