LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former bank manager has been arrested, accused of stealing over $63,000, according to a news release from Indiana State Police.
Renea D. White, age 24, was taken into custody Friday morning after she surrendered to the Scott County Circuit Court. She is a resident of Scottsburg, Ind.
This follows a seven-month investigation into White's actions as the manager of the Centra Credit Union in Scottsburg, the release states. Police say she ran multiple schemes, ranging from allegedly taking cash from the teller drawer to manipulating customers' accounts.
Her alleged crimes took place between Jan. 2, 2012 and Jan. 18, 2013, and police say she stole over $63,000.
Police say the credit union is ensuring that no effected customers will lose money.
White has been charged with five counts of defrauding a financial institution and five counts of theft. She is currently incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
