LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Friends and family are saying their final goodbyes to a Bardstown, Kentucky man found dead in a Spencer County barn.  Days after the crime, the family has no closure and no answers.

34-year old Daniel Cahoe's body was found Thursday in a barn off Bowman Lane near West River Road in Spencer County.  "He loved to fish and loved to hunt," says his father Roger Cahoe.  "Daniel was a good guy."

On the day that Roger Cahoe buried his son, he stood on his front doorstep heartbroken and begging for answers:  "'Cause these people, they done this to him, and they could do it to somebody else."

His father says Daniel Cahoe was shot.  "I have no idea how or why he would be way over there...I seen him Christmas Eve and we've been looking for him since the day after Christmas."

A passenger in car happened to drive past a stretch of Bowman Lane and see Cahoe's body lying through a hole in the Tobacco Barn.  Afraid to look inside, that person told Tamie Atcher, who was there, to call 911.  "I still go over it and over it," Archer says.  "I didn't know him, I felt bad 'cause I knew he was somebody's family."

It has stolen the quiet calm in a small country community, and staggered a family 20 miles away.  I guess he got into it with the wrong crowd," Roger Cahoe says.

Kentucky State police are handling the investigation and being very quiet on details.  They won't comment on whether they have leads or suspects.

All they're saying is they need tips from anyone who may have seen Cahoe in the last 48 hours before his body was found.  There won't be no peace until whoever did this is caught," Atcher says.

Roger Cahoe says, "Somebody around knows something I'm sure, and we'd like to find the people who done this."

You're asked to contact the Frankfort post of the Kentucky State Police if you have information on the case.

An unusual side note -- Cahoe's identical twin brother was just released from the hospital after being shot on New Years Eve.  The family doesn't think it's connected to the murder.
