LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Early in-person voting starts Tuesday for Indiana's primary election.

Several polling places throughout the state will be open on weekdays. Registered voters with a valid photo ID can cast their ballot early at select locations in their area.

Absentee ballots can be requested for a few weeks. Voters must meet certain requirements to request a mail-in absentee ballot.

Early voting runs through noon Monday, May 4. Indiana's primary election is scheduled for May 5.Ā

Experts say President Donald Trump's recent order on mail-in voting won't impact Hoosier voters.

The executive order signed last month would create a nationwide list of verified eligible voters and restrict mail-in voting. Voting law experts say the order violates the Constitution by attempting to seize states' power to run elections, according to The Associated Press.
