LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear hosted the 56th annual Governor's Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday morning.

Dozens of people came together for the event at Kentucky State University in Frankfort. This year's theme was: "Forward Together in Faith, Empathy, and Compassion."

Keynote speakers at the breakfast included former University of Kentucky and University of Louisville basketball players Dominque Hawkins and Peyton Siva.

Beshear also presented an award to Stable Recovery, which helps provide a stable living environment for men in the early stages of drug recovery.

"I'm in recovery myself," said Frank Taylor with Taylor Made Farm. "So I got sober and then I wanted to give back. So I came up with this idea, school of horsemanship, and I talked my brothers into letting us try that."

Men who participate in the 90-day program through Stable Recovery are then able to get jobs with the skills they've learned.
