U of L welcoming a record number of out-of-state freshmen this year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A power outage has forced the cancellation of all afternoon and evening classes for Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the University of Louisville's Belknap campus.

The school posted on social media Wednesday afternoon that a transformer issue at Third and Oak Streets caused part of the campus to be without electricity. LG&E had estimated it would restore power by 5 p.m. But that apparently did not happen.

U of L posted on social media that all evening classes are also canceled. But the Symposium on Criminal Justice would still be held at the University Club, as scheduled.
