LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Red Cross is hosting its Holiday Hero Blood Drive this week, and donations are urgently needed after winter weather caused a recent decline in contributions.
The drive runs Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at UAW Local 862 on Fern Valley Road.
All donors will receive a chicken dinner and a long-sleeved Red Cross t-shirt, while supplies last.
Officials encourage community members to donate blood to help patients this holiday season.
