LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person has been arrested -- and another is still on the loose -- after police say a brief standoff took place outside a home in the Russell neighborhood Monday afternoon.
According to a supervisor at MetroSafe, the call came in just after 11:30 a.m. Someone reported that a home near the corner of South 16th Street and West Madison Street had been broken into.
Louisville Metro Police -- including officers with SWAT, the Hostage Negotiating Team and the Air Unit -- responded to the scene. According to an LMPD spokesman, officers quickly determined that there were four victims inside the home, with one of those victims on the roof.
All four were found by police and taken to a safe place.
Police say one of the victims was on home incarceration at the time, and was found to be in violation of the terms of that home incarceration. That individual was arrested and taken to Louisville Metro Corrections.
Police say the home invasion suspect who prompted the police situation fled the scene before officers arrived.
Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call the police anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD (5673).
