LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Inspectors with Louisville's health department regularly visit the city's hotels, apartments, water parks, splash pads and more to make sure nothing dangerous lurking in the water.
Every pool is given a grade for the inspection, and the city complies notes for each visit. Splash pads in public parks, at Kentucky Kingdom and even the Louisville Zoo are included.
A spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness said inspectors check for many things, from bacteria to faulty equipment.
